KIDS

welcome to the climb

WELCOME!

We’re excited to introduce The Climb, the new discipleship framework for Family Ministry at Grace Bible Church. The Climb is built around Paul’s words in Philippians 3: “I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” We believe following Jesus is a lifelong journey of grace—taking the next faithful step toward Christ, alongside others who are doing the same.

The Climb gives us a clear picture for how we want to disciple kids and students from birth through young adulthood. Each stage is designed around both biblical truth and the way God has designed children to grow and develop. From learning “Am I loved?” in the earliest years to asking “Where am I going?” as young adults, we want to help every child know God’s love, learn His truth, find belonging, gain identity in Christ, walk with Jesus, and eventually own their mission.

This is not about rushing kids toward maturity or creating a checklist they have to complete. It is about intentional formation with a clear destination. Our hope is that by the time students reach young adulthood, they understand what they believe and why, recognize how God has shaped them, and are equipped to choose the next faithful climb as lifelong followers of Jesus.
We’re excited to share more with you in the weeks ahead and to partner with you as we help the next generation live and love like Jesus.

Welcome to The Climb.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Every Sunday at 11am we have in-person worship gatherings for kids (0-6th grade). We have partnered with The Biggest Story curriculum to present the entire Bible in varying lessons to our kids — helping them understand how everything from the garden of Eden to Revelation points to the redeeming power of Christ.

Classrooms open at 10:45am! When you arrive on campus, check your kids in at one of our check-in kiosks by The Climb wall.

BASECAMP
BABIES (0-2 years old) meet in the Nursery (Room 110)
TODDLERS (2-3 year olds) meet in the Toddler Room (Room 108)
TK/KINDERGARTEN (kids who turn 4 before 9/1/26
meet in the TK/Kinder Room (Room 113)

COMPASS:
1ST-4TH grade students meet in the GYM.

ASCEND:
5TH-6TH grade students meet in Room 303.

We have a team of consistent adult and student volunteers each week with the kids. Every one of our volunteers remains current on background checks and has completed a thorough training process.
New to Grace Bible Church? We’re glad you’re here! We encourage you to fill out our New Family Information Form prior to arriving and to check in by the New Family Check in area with a Kids Ministry team member. We will answer any questions you may have and show you where the drop off locations are!
Do you love Jesus and love kids? We encourage you to fill out our Confidential Volunteer Application to start the conversation! There are many different volunteer opportunities at Grace Bible Church, from being inside the classroom directly with kids to prepping crafts at home.
Where is check-in?
Check-in is available near the entrance by parking lot B (back terraced lot). There are self check-in stations along the wall, or ask one of our team members for help.
What is the check-in process?
- Check-in at a station using your phone number.
- Confirm that the drop off child is listed accurately.
- Print out your child(s) name tag(s). There will be 3 stickers (2 name tags and 1 security tag).
- One name tag goes on your child.
- One name tag goes on the clipboard at their drop off location.
- Hold onto the security tag which you will need to show at pick up.
- Walk your child(s) to their drop off location(s).
What is our well child policy?
We ask that if your child is sick that you keep them at home! Only check your child in if all the following are true:
- Your child has not had a fever of 100 degrees or higher in the past 24 hours.
- Your child is not experiencing shortness of breath, diarrhea, vomiting, a sore throat, a productive cough, or a green runny nose.
- In the last 3 days, your child has not been exposed to lice or any other contagious disease.
How do I pick up my child after class?
You will pick up your child at the same place you dropped them off. You will need to show your security label in order for your child to be released to you.
