Trees and Temples
Mark 11:12-26; 13:28-30 This sermon is about people with the appearance of fruit in their lives but in reality there is nothing there, highlighting the hypocrisy of our Christian lives…saying but not living it! The imagery of the fig tree in the Old Testament was meant to be a barometer of Israel’s relationship with God. When there is not fruit, when there is hypocrisy, there will be judgment. Let’s not waste our time, but get to praying, forgiving and being changed.
