The feeding of the 5000 (and 4000 from 8:1-9). The conversation between Jesus and his followers is fascinating when he says, “you feed them.” Jesus wants to know what is available (what do you have) and if he can have it, he will do the rest. This is the faith journey that Jesus is leading us all to. And there are plenty of leftovers (12 basketfuls to be exact, one for each disciple).
