Message: “Like Jesus” from Ben Youngkin

Like Jesus

John 8:12; Rom 8:28-29; I Cor 11:1: This is what is inherent in the invitation to follow Jesus. In Rabbinic tradition the pupil/disciple would “walk in the dust” of his rabbi following so close as to live and be like that Rabbi. The word disciple is "mathetes" in Greek, which means to be an imitator/mimicker. We want to learn to emulate the heart and character of Christ. We want to think like him, believe like him, act like him, be spirit-led like him, and see others like him. How would Jesus live my life…that is the question a disciple asks!
